Description
The Clinical Supervisor will provide oversight and guidance to CVAC’s counseling department. The counseling department at Crime Victims Assistance Center serves individuals who have been a victim of; any crime, domestic violence, sex trafficking, child sexual abuse, sexual assault and/or a witness to violence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program:

Provide direct clinical supervision and consultation to all clinical staff.

Participate as part of a management team in areas of program development.

Identify treatment needs and initiate counseling for victims.

Provide information and referrals to victims while acting as a medical advocate in a local medical facility or while working on call as needed.

Provide counseling services to primary and secondary victims (both child & adult).

Coordinate and facilitate victim support groups.

Assist in providing community outreach and education.
Administrative:

Prepare written plans, correspondence, reports, and document information as requested by the Executive Director.

Keep accurate and current case records.

Provide up to date data that accurately reflect services available; assist in the preparation of agency statistical reports.
Agency:

Function as a member of the team by exhibiting cooperation and mutual respect to promote a productive work environment.

Represent the agency in a professional manner by participating on committees and task forces at a local and state level as needed.

Encourage collaboration among direct reporting staff and peers.
Qualifications

Licensed Masters Social worker required, Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.

Two years minimum of clinical experience.

Sensitivity and commitment to issues of victimization.

Thorough knowledge of services provided, well-developed advocacy skills, and a working understanding of the victim advocacy process

Valid NY State driver’s license, transportation and insurance required.

Microsoft Office computer skills required.

Exemplary oral and written skills required.
Certification: Must successfully complete 40-hour crisis line training and additional 10 hours provided by the agency.
Salary : $60,000 - $62,000
