About the Role. As a Sales Support Representative, you will be the primary customer liaison, acting as point of contact during the full life-cycle order management process. This involves working with manufacturers, distribution centers, warehouses and transportation providers to facilitate product and information flow between our internal team and our customers to aid in the order process and resolve issues. This position is a frontline position which requires the utmost professionalism and positive attitude at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Collaboration with outside sales team to develop relationships with customers, vendors and internal partners.
- Deliver excellent customer service to our customers at all times.
- Assist customers with product selection based on their packaging needs.
- Answer customer billing and service questions.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to obtain product information, status of orders and to resolve issues.
- Communicate with customers to gather information for order entry, quoting, and advising on order status.
- Order entry, expediting, and proof of deliveries.
- Receiving and processing inquiries, customer orders, changes and customer requests.
- Provide customers with pricing and delivery information.
- Review open order reports.
- General office work, answering a multi-line phone system.
Requirements:
- Self-starter who is capable of adapting quickly to a changing situation in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with managers, co-workers, as well as all departments within the company.
- Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word and ERP Systems (JDE preferred).
- Basic knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, sourcing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and supply chain management.
