Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and be proficient in various CAD software tools. This role involves creating detailed drawings and plans for projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications. The CAD Drafter will collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs.
Duties
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, and Creo.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including assembly instructions and specifications.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide design support.
- Review designs for compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Use Bluebeam for document management and collaboration during the design process.
- Participate in system design discussions to contribute insights based on drafting expertise.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for clients, showcasing design concepts using NavisWorks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, and NavisWorks is essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and system design.
- Experience with GD&T is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with technical writing to produce clear documentation.
- Ability to assemble components based on technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- A degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prefered someone with AV industry experience
