TITLE: Revenue Analyst
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Revenue
POSITION REPORTS TO: Global VP of Revenue
SUMMARY: The Revenue Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and forecasting revenue streams to optimize financial performance. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to strategic decision making. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial modeling, data analysis, and revenue management processes, with strong collaboration sills and attention to detail.
LOCATION: Corporate Office (Sterling, VA)
SHIFT HOURS: 8:30am-5pm
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field
- 4-7 years of related experience
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency with business intelligence tools (ERP systems)
Job Responsibilities:
- Revenue Forecasting: Monitor economic conditions and conduct revenue forecast analysis.
- Reporting: Prepare and keep weekly monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management.
- Revenue Recognition: Review billing practices to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition.
- Data Analysis: Compile and analyze detailed revenue information, creating trend analysis reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales management, procurement and planning functions, accounting, and operations to monitor revenue KPI's.
- Process Improvement: Design, implement, and improve processes related to revenue management.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies.
- Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience of working with NetSuite or other major ERP systems is plus.
- Assist the Revenue team as needed.
