Join the Innovation and Technology Services Department as our ERP Specialist II. You’ll play a critical role in optimizing system performance and ensuring data integrity. You’ll lead training sessions, collaborate with users groups and provide innovative solutions to improve workflows and processes. Provide training sessions and participate in user group meetings.
Tests new system functionality, reports, and queries in test databases. Ensuring that the end users have optimum use of the system.
Provide input into improving system reliability, availability and performance. Analyzes and advises management of workflow issues and data integrity problems and offer recommendations on resolution.
Completes data audits and evaluations within the ERP system. Maintains the paperless data files and records according to retention schedules utilizing scanning and storage software.
Audits records to ensure data accuracy and makes recommendations for streamlining or improving the process.
Documents service requests in help desk system, investigates problems, determines appropriate actions, discusses actions with appropriate stakeholders, implements approved actions, and communicates progress of service requests throughout process until resolution.
Follows change management process. Ensures that all ERP related incidents are tracked and handled in the shortest possible time frame for resolution and that solution steps are properly documented in the related incident to develop a long-term knowledge base.
Provides assessment of program modifications, needed reports, and module development requests of the end users. Performs workflow design and implementation and creates custom reports. Works closely with the Applications Team in designing and administering solutions. Works closely with team members for more complex technical requirements.
Monitors and maintains ERP systems security.
- Knowledge of data relationships, reporting tools, basic relational database skills, and organizational business practices
- Knowledge of the methods, procedures, and policies of Cumberland County as such pertains to the performance of the essential duties of the position
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of managing an ERP System
- Ability to analyze and define ERP requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environments
- Ability to develop, document and execute test plans of ERP solutions; and keep abreast of the functionality of the organization’s ERP services and systems
- Skilled in use of popular and specialized computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs; organizing workflow and coordinating activities
- Strong competency with SQL query language, systems analysis and design skills
- Skilled in communication and presentation skills, initiative, and result-oriented personality
- Skilled with Microsoft Office products

Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. If your driver's license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire.
