Cuvilly Arts & Earth Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. We strive to model ecological sustainability in a space that embraces our belief that all life is sacred and the diversity of life is essential for the well-being of the planet. For the last 40 years we have run a very successful preschool and are currently expanding our ecological justice education beyond preschool to include older children and adults. JOB TITLE:Environmental Education Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY:
The Environmental Education Coordinator works with other program coordinators and staff to respond to ecological justice issues by providing educational opportunities to older youth and adults.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
· Select and lead an advisory team to create and manage educational experiences for older youth and adults addressing issues of ecological justice.
· Manage the on-line Network Forum, an on-line discussion platform dealing with topics of ecological justice.
· Build relationships with other like-minded organizations to ensure a vibrant, diverse Network.
· Coordinate with other Cuvilly coordinators to execute field trips taking place on the Cuvilly campus.
· Secure funding for the Network.
· Represent the Network at community events.
· Report on Network activities to the Cuvilly Board of Directors
· Create, post, monitor on-line presence.
· Set up systems to measure impact of the Network’s projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Exemplary team player
· Proficiency with/willingness to learn Cuvilly used technology platforms, i.e. Microsoft Office, Articulate Storyline, WiX.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Excellent time management skills
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· College education preferred
· Warm friendly personality, ability to relate well to others
· Willingness to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with Cuvilly’s mission and philosophy
· Awareness of the impact that ecological injustice has on under-resourced communities.
DESCRETION /DECISION MAKING:
· Reports to the Executive Director
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Successfully navigate and interact with all areas of the Cuvilly campus including gardens, barn and animal areas.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 17 – 20 per week
