This is a paid internship at our South San Francisco headquarters. The program is for approximately 12 weeks beginning in late May/early June.
Job Summary:
The intern will work closely with a Pharmacology Researcher to conduct and manage in vivo and in vitro experiments related to the efficacy of novel small molecule compounds for potential therapies of muscular degenerative diseases.
Requirements:
The position requires a motivated individual with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Additionally, we seek an individual with:
- Prior experience in basic lab skills (e.g. pipetting, preparing physiological buffers, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including experience with data management and presentation
- Coursework in biology and physiology
- Prior animal handling experience is desirable, a willingness to learn to handle rodents is required
