We are currently seeking an HR MANAGER to join the People & Culture Team in our PLEASANTON, CA office. The People & Culture Manager is primarily responsible for providing complex and specialized support related to employee engagement and relations, benefits, HRIS administration and regulatory compliance. This position will also assist in the alignment of key people strategies to accomplish business objectives. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy, highly organized self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment. This professional has a can-do attitude, who, when faced with challenges, seeks solutions through collaboration and is just as interested in building professional relationships as in maintaining compliance. This position reports to the Senior Director of People & Culture and is required to maintain an in-office presence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day guidance to assigned direct reports and project teams.
- Provide day-to-day administration of benefits plans including enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA oversight,and invoice processing.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering employee questions regarding benefits and employee policies such as leaves of absence
- Prepare materials for benefits annual open enrollment and attend broker meetings, coordinate events, draft employee communications and manage enrollment changes.
- Administer employee benefits plans including medical, dental, vision, flex spending, life and disability insurances.
- Manage and administer employee leaves of absence (FMLA/CFRA/PDL/Personal), including keeping track of responses and status changes to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Process workers compensation claims
- Collaborate with HR Generalist to audit and maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
- Collaborate with Payroll regarding employee change in status, benefit deductions and leave of absences; provide back up coverage during unexpected absences
- Perform administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence
- Maintain all employee policies and HR procedures; update as needed
- Assist the Senior Director - People & Culture with H1-B/PERM processes and manage related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Cal OSHA, EEOC, etc, drafting related reports for the approval of the Director of Human Resources.
- Audit employee information in ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and provide employee reports as needed.
- Assist and coach managers on employee relations and performance management issues in alignment with company core values and existing procedures and protocols.
- Assist the Senior Director - People & Culture with strategic initiatives such as compensation, salary surveys, talent development, and various audits, research, and/or special projects.
- Work on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions
- Maintain the CORI program: process enrollments, changes, and notify Senior Director - People & Culture of DOJ alerts.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources
- Recommend new approaches, best practices, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvement in efficiency of HR
- May participate on special teams (e.g. Operations, Safety, Back-to-Office), as assigned by Senior Director - People & Culture
- Collaborate with all staff across the firm to contribute to a positive and productive work environment

- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of HR administrative experience in organizations of at least 100 employees, including leading a team
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Experience in payroll administration preferred
- Experience in ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS/applicant tracking system REQUIRED
- Experience with CORI preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or AA degree with equivalent work experience in HR or business administration
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- PHR (minimum requirement) or SPHR (preferred).
- Commitment to own professional growth by staying up-to-date on HR best practices.
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions or visa sponsorship.
Salary range: $80,000 to $110,000 depending on qualifications. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
