Qualifications
- Proficient in computer skills, including data entry and typing
- Experience with databases and ERP systems
- Skilled in transcription, office tasks, and filing
- Familiarity with pivot tables and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices
Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPPA, Compliance, HITECH, FACTA, and Red Flag guidelines
- Skill in identifying and organizing documents in appropriate categories
- Skill in computer use and troubleshooting computer problems
- Skill in identifying appropriate documents to be shredded
- Must exhibit a positive attitude
- Physical Abilities:
- Have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, paper shredder and scanner
- Lift 5 – 10 pounds
- Duties and responsibilities:
- Daily scan route slips to the electronic document storage system
- Daily scan EOB’s to the electronic document storage system
- Scan the patients’ previous doctor records to the electronic chart then route them to the primary care provider
- Make CD’s of patient records for:
- Patients who are transferring from the practice
- Subpoenas
- Miscellaneous
- Review paper charts and the electronic document storage system records and copy the following into the patients’ electronic charts
- Immunizations
- All progress notes
- All consult notes
- Most recent EKG result, DEXA scan result, Holter Monitor result, and PFT result
- Most recent in-house lab report
- Most recent colonoscopy result
- Living Will, Power of attorney, and other legal documents
- Pain management agreements
- Previous doctors’ records
- Vitals sheet
- Retrieve, scan, print, and route to the primary care physician hospital documents such as:
- History and physical reports
- Maintain Hospital List(s) with Admissions & Discharges
- Emergency Department visit reports
- As needed help the unit clerk with scanning·
- Daily shred all of the office paper that contains personal information
*This is a Part-time position with the potential for full-time for the right candidate
