Position Overview
Program and project management; Fixture, equipment, and graphic installations; Digital signage/digital menu
boards; Kiosks, beacons, and other technology upgrades; Hard and soft-line merchandising; Site, marketing, and
pre-construction surveys; Logistics and consolidation; Facilities maintenance programs; Special initiatives.
DAVACO's Brand Merchandising Division services soft/hard line clients, ranging from fashion apparel, footwear,
and accessories.
Purpose
Under the general supervision of their assigned Operational Manager the Foreman I will operate in a matrix
reporting environment. This position will take direction from their Operational Manager concerning all matters
related to their and their employees’ performance while working on the project. Also, while working on the
assigned project this position will take direction from the Project Manager (PM) on project execution.
This position will direct and coordinate the project requirements to ensure deadlines and quality are met for a
successful project completion. This is a hands-on working Foreman who will also work side by side of their assigned
crew. Previous DAVACO experience is required leading crews between 5 to 9 employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative:
- Review project requirements determine issues and opportunities and discuss with PM currently working
- Responsible for all job-related reports and documents to ensure they are submitted correctly and ontime.
- Responsible for leading, training, coaching and develop crew members assigned to projects.
- Required to complete employee job performance evaluations on every job/project and send to your
Project Execution:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of floor plans, fixture placement drawings, and construction
- Ensure your crew and the job site meets all DAVACO requirements for appearance, cleanliness, safety and
- Prioritize and assign work to DAVACO crewmembers as appropriate. This includes, but not limited to
- Follow-up for inspect quality control and progress, spot areas for re-work, mentor/coach to ensure work
- Performs “hands-on” carpentry and construction duties to meet plan requirements and project deadlines.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractor and vendors retained by client’s work, daily logs, track progress.
- Demonstrate at an intermediate level of ability to manage the scope of different types of finish out
- Provide organized on-site training for Foreman I on a going basis.
- Implement corporate safety procedures, ensure job site safety is a priority, safety standards are followed.
- Report to our Safety Specialist and your Operations Manager any serious safety violations.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, proactively with all levels of employees and customers.
- Consistently receives a high grading from client evaluations.
- On previous projects has successfully demonstrated the ability to supervise employees to complete the
- Possesses a high level of knowledge in all areas of a project to execute new projects with minimum
- Experienced in, retail remodeling, using digital cameras, troubleshooting DAVACO applications.
- Must have an excellent safety record.

Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be in good standing with DAVACOs preferred rental car companies.
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check.

- Can manage largest scope projects. Run a crew with 9 workers and when required and multiple sub trades

Physical Requirements
- Physical capability to lift, move, and position heavy fixtures and equipment (at least 50 pounds
- Stamina stand, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, climb ladders and perform physically demanding tasks for
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed, including overnight stays.
- Comfortable sharing accommodations with team members (if necessary)
- Smartphone in good working condition with hands-free capability.
