DEKAT Engineering is seeking an experienced Structural Project Engineer with extensive experience in steel structures and connection design to join our dynamic engineering team in Englewood, CO! Position Duties/Responsibilities
· Design and analyze steel structures and connections, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
· Work with the Engineering Team in developing preliminary and final design plans and details.
· Perform structural analysis using advanced software tools and hand calculations.
· Prepare and review engineering drawings, shop drawings, specifications and reports.
· Collaborate with contractors, steel fabricators and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
· Lead structural projects as a Structural Project Engineer.
· Perform quality control reviews of other engineer’s designs and project structural drawings.
· Mentor and train young engineers.
· Assist with preparation of structural project proposals.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
· Professional Engineering registration is required.
· Minimum 5 plus years of experience in structural engineering
· RISA, Enercalc, SAP, STAAD Pro, Tekla Structures or similar Structural Analysis Software experience.
· Experience with preparing plans, specifications, and design calculations.
· Self-motivated, energetic, and able to independently take on new projects.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage/lead a team.
· Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong verbal & written communication skills.
· Desire to learn and advance in technical skills and understanding.
Additional Preferred Experience/Skills
· AutoCAD and Revit experience.
· Project Management experience and/or Project Management Professional Certification.
· Experience with review of structural construction.
· Interest in continued professional development.
· SE registration a plus.
Work Schedule: This is a regular full-time position with benefits. The employee will work 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday) from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Compensation and Benefits: Typical annual salary range for this position is $100,00-$125,000. Salary will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
