Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and industrial settings.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable.
• Carry out custodial duties including trash removal, recycling, and general upkeep of the facility.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the building.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures is an asset.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
