What are the responsibilities and job description for the Smile Specialist position at Delta Dental of Wyoming?
This position is located in Cheyenne WY and is NOT a remote position. Employees will be required to work within our Cheyenne WY office.
You are the company’s primary point of contact to dental offices, employers, subscribers and brokers. To be a successful Smile Specialist at Delta Dental of Wyoming, you should have recent experience in a dental office, understand dental terminology, possess excellent communication skills, be customer-focused, detail oriented and efficient.
Essential Duties
- Works closely with dental offices on claims processing and claims inquiries.
- Processes claims and adjustments accurately and within specific timeframes.
- Responsible for credentialing providers, pulls monthly reports as well as reports upon credentialing.
- Follows & understands national processing policies and departmental guidelines/policies for claims processing.
- Processes claim appeals in a timely from dental offices as well as subscribers.
- Provides personalized customer service of the highest level by establishing rapport and presenting a positive and friendly attitude.
- Answers incoming calls relating to inquiries regarding benefits, claim status, provider information, eligibility information and all other requests. Accurately explains benefits, plan coverages, claim payments and the availability of self-service tools.
What we are looking for:
- Dental claims processing, insurance knowledge and/or dental office experience preferred.
- Dental Assistant or Dental Hygienist preferred.
- Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to inquiries. Ability to continuously meet/exceed department standards
- Extensive computer knowledge/skills.
- A positive attitude with ability to adapt to change and learn new things.
- Requires strong customer service skills, strong multi-tasking skills, problem resolution skills, accurate data entry skills and strong analytical aptitude.
- Must be able to handle all incoming and outgoing information in compliance with all HIPAA regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
