We are seeking a Medical Billing/Coding Specialist or an Experienced Billing/Coding Manager for our exciting state of the art Surgical and Cosmetic Dermatology practice in Hyannis MA. Experience with medical billing and coding and obtaining insurance prior authorizations and referrals is a pre-requisite for this position. Billing will be performed electronically with Athena Collector and experience with electronic billing systems is preferred. Training and certification in dermatology coding will be offered as a benefit of this position. This position can be performed in a remote or hybrid in office/remote fashion after comprehensive training is completed. training will occur after hours and on weekends
Position is full time (40 hours/week) and can be structured as four 10 hr days or five 8 hour days
Salary range: $30-40/hour, dependent upon experience

Responsibilities
- Perform accurate medical coding and billing for dermatology services, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Review and verify patient information and insurance details to facilitate smooth billing processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve coding discrepancies and optimize revenue cycle management.
- Stay updated on changes in coding regulations and dermatology billing practices to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide training and support to junior staff in coding and billing procedures.
