Job Summary: Process all warranty claims in an efficient and timely manner while adhering to all Desert Tech internal Policies & Procedures as well as all applicable BATF and ITAR regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Process Warranty Claims: Taking, logging, and documenting all warranty calls as well as maintaining a log of all Warranty issues as identified - Issuing RMA numbers - Creating sales orders, jobs, manufacturing receipts, and other documentation transactions in M1 Production Management System.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate and troubleshoot product issues over the phone as well as in person. Must be able to handle high pressure situations and resolve customer complaints with a professional and calm manner at all times - Communicate product improvement ideas and common problems to engineering and management - Communicating critical warranty issues to your supervisor/manager in a timely manner - Communicating any improvement suggestion you have to your supervisor or Engineering thru ECR/ECO actions.
Perform Warranty repairs: Diagnose and repair any warranty item or weapon - Verify Proper operation of all Desert Tech firearm platforms and calibers (Working knowledge of Desert Tech platforms preferred) – Superior problem solving skills – good mechanical skills.
Test fire all warranty repairs: Test fire for proper function and accuracy in accordance with company standards. Must be capable of shooting ½ MOA in all calibers, small & large (.260 REM to .50 BMG – Must have reliable and secure transportation, as travel to local gun ranges for test firing of rifles is mandatory as a part of the job function.
Daily Progress Reports: Accurately track and report warranty information to your manager.
Other Qualifications Required - Warranty Technician:
Citizenship: Must be a U.S Citizen.
Criminal background Check: Must be able to pass a Criminal background check.
Age requirements: N/A
Education requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work experience required: 1 year in a customer service role.
Physical demands: Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 35 lbs.
Work environment: Warehouse with the hum of CNC machines in the background.
Other requirements: General Firearms Safety practices, General computer skills, familiar with Microsoft office, a Utah driver’s license and a clean driving record, properly handle confidential data.
