Job Summary
The Occupational Health Technician plays a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the health and safety of employees in various work environments. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive health screenings and assessments for employees, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
- Assist in the management of occupational injuries and illnesses, providing immediate care as needed.
- Perform suture removal and basic wound care while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement health programs tailored to the needs of the workforce.
- Maintain accurate records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
- Educate employees on health-related topics, including preventive measures and wellness initiatives.
- Support long-term care initiatives by monitoring employee health trends and reporting findings to management.
- Participate in travel nursing assignments as needed to support various facilities or locations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a nursing technician or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Experience in medical-surgical settings is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate employees on health matters effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience with occupational health or travel nursing is a plus.

Pay: $46.00 - $57.00 per hour
