What are the responsibilities and job description for the SSA SUPERVISOR position at Developmental Disabilities of Clark County?
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
Oversees functions critical to unit operation as assigned by Director and as operated by the Clark County Board of DD. Facilitates collaborative efforts among the Path Coordination unit, Investigative Agent Unit and Community Supports Unit. Coordinates, provides oversight and facilitates the development and implementation of Individual plans, Individual budgets, and Individual service monitoring and other activities. Responsible for developing policies and procedures necessary for effective operation of the unit. Develops and implements training. Coordinates adherence to policies and procedures and ensures that unit staff develop and implement service plans that are developed based on person center planning principles and that are consistent with Individual and program budget practices. Works cooperatively with family members, direct service providers and other members of a recipient's support team to implement person centered services. Facilitates use of community resources in meeting people's needs.
Assists Director with specialized functions critical to the operation of the program including but not limited to the implementation and administration of waiting lists, the coordination of behavior support plans, development of training strategies and calendars, the facilitation of accreditation standards, the oversight over Individual and overall program budgets, etc.
Conducts the business of the unit within agency guidelines, appropriate rules/regulations and demonstrates prudent use of public funds.
Assists and recommends in the hiring process; Orients/trains/supervises assigned staff; Sets/monitors/ensures staff compliance to departmental/ program/state and federal rules and regulations; Monitors staff attendance; Schedules staff to ensure coverage/Individual safety and well-being; Receives and recommends leave requests; Verifies employee payroll transaction documents; Recommends and implements discipline as appropriate; Receives and processes grievances per policy and procedure; Assists staff in resolving problems; Conducts timely employee evaluations; Conducts and follows through on staff meetings.
Attends meetings and in-service training as required. Maintains documentation, electronic and written, as required. Initiates reports, completes forms and other types of correspondence as needed. Performs other related duties as required, to include but not limited to: serving on committees, and/or serving as a trainer.
COMPENSATION: Starting pay is $67,740.81 to $101,611.21 (depending on level of degree and experience, per Start Rate Procedure)
