Full Job description:
DeWitt Lumber Company, a family owned and operated business has a job opening for a result-driven retail sales associate. Associate is responsible for all sale job duties, from generating leads to closing sales. Including working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. Responsible for monitoring phone calls and service at the counter for all customers.
Ability and desire to work directly with our customers and vendors. Experience in building materials or lumber is preferred. At our company, we offer competitive wages and a great benefit package. Join our family-oriented team and contribute to our success in the building materials industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
- Welcome customers to the store, and answer their questions and phone calls.
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases.
- Handle returns of merchandise
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service.
- Build productive trust relationships with customers
- Estimates on various projects.
- Manage front counter and stock inventory.
