Position Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee complex heavy civil construction projects, ensuring successful execution from pre-construction through project completion. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards and timely delivery of projects for FDOT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of large-scale FDOT projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Oversee pre-construction planning, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, implementing strategies to address challenges and ensure goals are met.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards on all projects.
- Foster strong relationships with FDOT representatives and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project updates, financial reports, and performance metrics to leadership.
- Mentor and develop project management team members.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects with a general or prime contractor.
- Proven experience on large FDOT projects (required).
- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction practices, FDOT specifications, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage large, diverse teams.
- Proficiency in construction management software and reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
