What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media and Marketing Manager position at Discovery Enterprises?
Discovery Enterprises owns multiple businesses in Minnesota & Florida. These businesses consist of Dessert Restaurants, Photography Studio, Vacation Rentals, Party Supply Rentals, DJ Entertainment & Family Entertainment Venues. We are looking for a reliable social media & marketing manager that can help ensure social media operations run smoothly. This position is based in a collaborative office work setting located in downtown Shakopee. Tech experience in computers, tablets, word and excel is preferred. We require experience in all social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram & TikTok. Candidate must be friendly, outgoing & have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn and navigate different tasks daily. Candidate will be working alongside our president & design team in a fun environment!
Candidate must be open to travel with our team for business related activities. We recently conducted operational meetings in Nevada, Utah, Arizona & Hawaii.
Once hired, you will be assigned a phone, laptop & company SUV to drive between businesses owned by Discovery when you are not in our office setting.

Position Responsibilities:
Candidate will engage customers via Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter to build audience and brand awareness. Candidate will also create video and photo content that will be posted weekly on various social media platforms.
- Create weekly monthly and quarterly plans for social media content involving special occasions (holidays, spring break etc)
- Find new social media trends that you can adapt into our business platforms
- Find ways to maximize marketing exposure.
- Attend weekly marketing meetings.
- Basic photography and videography skills with mobile devices or DSLR cameras; Photoshop and Premiere Pro experience a plus.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours/days to accommodate occasional evening and weekend work for special events or promotions.
Requirements:
- Experience creating or managing social media platforms
- Basic Google Analytics knowledge a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Experience assisting with photoshoots is highly desirable.
