Banquet Chef
DoubleTree by Hilton Monroe Township Cranbury is seeking an experienced Banquet Chef to assist our Executive Chef with our banquet-catering business. Our brand new hotel is booking business for meeting events, weddings, and other social functions. Full or Part Time positions available.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation for banquets and events in coordination with the Executive Chef.
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead and educate the team.
- Leads shifts while preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications.
- Estimates Banquet event order production requirements with the Executive Chef.
- Coordinates banquet production and plating with the Executive Chef.
- Plans /manages food quantities and plating requirements for all banquet functions.
- Ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
- Develops banquet, seasonal and special menus for events customers as requested by the Catering-Sales Department.
- Is able to perform inventory for the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure proper standards at all times.
- Provides information to co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person when needed.
- Attends and participates in all BEO meetings or Exec. Chef lead meeting.
- Training available based on experience
- Brand training required.
Rate of Pay: Starting at $18-$25 per hour based on experience.
Must be available for weekends when needed based on business booked. Must be available for holidays if needed.
Experience: Min. 2 years Banquet Cook-Chef experience in an upscale hotel orcountry club, catering hall.
