What are the responsibilities and job description for the Erosion Control Estimator position at Down To Earth Compliance?
Down To Earth Compliance is a specialty contractor providing environmental compliance services to the construction industry in Colorado. We are currently looking for an Estimator for Erosion Control, including Reclamation and Grading. This is a full time position. Our estimator will create bids from Invitations to Bid, and Requests for Proposals, as well as projects sourced from our existing network of clients.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluating bid invitations and making decisions on appropriate project opportunities with rapid turn around.
- Research and source new project opportunities through multiple avenues: iSqFt; Construct Connect; Building Connected; and client referrals.
- Utilize takeoff software such as Blue Beam Revu and others
- Implement sales and service processes that consistently deliver exceptional results and effectively build the DTEC brand.
- Manage and report on the sales pipeline and coordinate with Operations/ Project managers/and the Business Development Manager
- Responsible for all aspects of executing proposals from start to finish, performing take-offs on jobs selected for bid, and completing proposals with up-to-date pricing and information.
- Responsible for acquiring required information to complete bids and send out by deadline.
- Responsible for client follow-up, post bid.
- Responsible for updating trackers to reflect and track progress and production.
- Develop and build relationships with DTEC clients.
- Review client contracts and complete necessary paperwork associated with new projects.
- Serve as an ambassador to clients by being the first point of contact.
- Understand, agree and commit to DTEC company values and facilitate a team environment.
Requirements:
- Strong computer skills are extremely important.
- Math skills for basic quantity conversions and calculations.
- Ability to navigate complex plan sets and find specs and bid tabs.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal and proactive communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects, supported by resources from internal and external teams.
- Knowledge of erosion control, sediment control, stormwater control measures, and minor grading.
- Experience with Sediment Basins, Check Dams, Diversion Ditches and Temporary Stream crossings.
- Ability to complete takeoffs, organize information into a proposed scope of work, and create easy to read proposals.
- Knowledge with QuickBooks and Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
- Knowledge with different interfaces such as isqft, SmartBidNet, Blue Book, Grade Beam, Bid Scope, Xcel, Word is also a plus.
