What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Cocktail Server position at Downtown Grand Las Vegas?
POSITION SUMMARY:
It is the primary responsibility of the Pool Cocktail Server to provide exceptional guest service by efficiently and accurately serving food and beverages to guests in all areas of the pool deck. This includes taking orders, delivering food and drinks in a timely manner, processing payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Greet guests courteously and consistently.
- Serve food & beverages to customers at regular intervals, as established by the department.
- Process all payments including cash, room charge, comps and credit cards.
- Offer food & beverages in a manner that develops Downtown Grand name recognition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Act as a guest service representative by providing information about the property.
- Enhance the company's objective to provide an entertaining environment through maintenance of visual appearance, according to department standards.
- Ensures the overall safety of pool guests.
- Provides enthusiastic, outstanding guest service at all times.
- Maintains a strong working relationship with co-workers.
- Maintains complete knowledge of various hotel outlets, VIP guests, hours of operation, and safety and sanitation regulations.
- Maintains cleanliness through assisting with picking up towels, trash and debris.
- Resolves guest complaints in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Reports any accidents or unusual incidents to management and security in a professional and timely manner.
- Anticipate, identify and provide for guest needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-year previous experience in a pool setting.
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
- Customer-oriented with a proactive attitude.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Must be able to comprehend all information and documentation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Withstand prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke.
- Follow all safety procedures as established by the company.
