Position Overview
We’re looking for an Operations Associate to come join our team full-time in San Mateo.
You will play a core role in elevating the experience at Draper University for all of our key stakeholders - programming partners, founders boarding with us during the program, and our VIP speakers.
This position is ideal for someone who is looking to get a foot in the door working with startups or venture capital and has an extensive background in delivering high-quality customer experiences.
This is an on-site position, you will be expected to come into the office daily, or live on campus in San Mateo, California.
Core Responsibilities
You will be directly reporting to the Operations Manager.
- Support team-wide operations, including strategic planning and KPI process management as well as the management of our operating cadence, including recurring meetings
- Manage special projects as they arise, to support our team of Operations Managers and Programs team
- Manage relationships and issue resolution with 3rd party vendors.
- Set up meeting rooms for in-person meetings & events
- Help organize team off-sites and daily logistics during program.
- Onboard and offboard employees following current processes and procedures.
- Support the setup of technical equipment as required for program activities
Preferred Background & Qualifications
- Fast-Paced Customer Service Experience: During the programs our work environment is startup-like. When programs are running it can be alot. We are looking for someone who thrives in organizing chaos and upholding 5-star customer service in stressful situations. We aren’t looking for a specific degree, we care about your experiences and the projects you have done. Tell us about your experience running music gigs, hosting meetups/tour groups, or organizing a school bus of kids for a field trip.
