Job Summary
We are a small/medium sized law firm looking to hire someone to handle our accounting.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's growth. This role requires strong financial acumen and experience with Quickbooks.
Duties
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Oversee general ledger reconciliation and account analysis to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Develop and implement budgeting processes, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Prepare summarized financial reports for management.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accurately reflected in financial records.
Experience
- Proven experience in a Controller or similar role within a finance department.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and account analysis is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; professional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
