Summary:
The Duchesne Academy Athletic Coach is an integral part of a student’s educational experience. Led by the Goals and Criteria of the Society of the Sacred Heart, the coach is responsible for developing and leading sports programs, training athletes, and fostering a positive and competitive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for motivating and inspiring athletes to achieve their full potential.
Sports Teams: Cross Country, Field Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming and Diving, Tennis, Lacrosse, Softball, Golf, Track and Field and Flag Football
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coach and manage athletic team including program organization, practice planning, game preparation and management, and student-athlete development.
- Perform administrative tasks including, but not limited to, continuous communication with the athletic department, parents, and athletes; prepare and update team rosters; oversee individual and team statistics; utilize game filming (e.g., Hudl); and attend league and conference meetings.
- Participate in the end-of-season protocol including the collection of uniforms, athlete awards, and coach evaluation.
- Create a competitive, fun, and positive environment for all student athletes.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Athletics.
Requirements
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required
- Ability to work after school and during weekends.
- Proven experience in coaching athletic teams.

Upon Hiring
- Pass the school’s criminal and sexual offender registry investigation.
- Successful completion of CMG Safe Environment Training.
- Current CPR certification.
