Job Summary
Privately-owned, one doctor Pediatric Dental practice located in the heart of Dunwoody is seeking a front desk admin that will also be cross-trained for assisting with sterilization, seating patients, chairside, etc. Dunwoody Pediatric Dentistry prioritizes providing outstanding, timely care with a focus on a positive patient/parent experience.
The ideal candidate is professional with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a team player. They should enjoy working with children of all ages, as well as be comfortable interacting with parents in person and over the phone. They should understand the importance of their role and being one of the first impressions for all patients/parents that walk in the door. A vital role of the position will include calling to collect patient balances, as well as taking payments in the office and on the phone. They should also be comfortable using computers in order to help with scheduling, rescheduling, emailing etc. (Dentrix software currently used).
This is a hybrid position - front desk, as well as assisting. Dental experience is preferred because of the assisting duties involved. This includes sterilization, taking radiographs if needed, and occasional chairside assisting in a pinch. We have an amazing team dynamic and pride ourselves on teamwork, with all members being cross-trained and able to step in to help when needed.
Our current office hours are Monday-Wednesday: 7:00am to 5:00pm with lunch from 12pm-1pm. Long term office hours will begin to include some Thursday mornings on a month-to-month basis.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with efficiency.
- Schedule appointments
- Call parents in regards to collecting outstanding balances
- Perform clerical duties including filing and maintaining records.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Collaborate with other front desk staff to ensure seamless operation
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Assist with seating patients, sterilization, and charting for exams when necessary
- Chairside assisting for basic restorative procedures when needed
- Be comfortable taking dental radiographs (bitewings, PAs, Panoramic)
Experience
- Previous experience as a dental assistant or receptionist is required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
