Duvall Catering & Events is seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Parties to join our exceptional culinary team. The Chef de Parties will be responsible for overseeing a specific station in the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation for catered events. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute high-quality dishes according to Duvall Catering & Events' standards.
- Manage designated kitchen station, ensuring consistency, portion control, and efficiency.
- Assist in menu execution and collaborate with the culinary team to maintain excellence in all dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor ingredient quality and freshness, reporting inventory needs to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
- Ensure timely food preparation for events, coordinating with the kitchen team to meet deadlines.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Work collaboratively to execute off-site events, ensuring smooth setup and service.
- Uphold Duvall Catering & Events' commitment to outstanding cuisine and service.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Strong understanding of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
