SUMMARY

The Operations Manager will plan, schedule, direct, coordinate, and oversee the operations activities of the Chemical Cleaning Division, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the division.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations of operations employees.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the division’s operations.
  • Collaborates with the Division Manager and executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance of operations projects.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
  • Ensures departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization’s business plan and vision.
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
  • Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Develops operational plan to support company objectives, monitors performance against plan and ensures that goals are met.
  • Provides bidding, forecasting and project assessments.
  • Supports all EHS policies and procedures and maintains the appropriate level of staff support necessary to meet business goals and objectives.
  • Independently creates, reviews, and implements MOC-level clearing and cleaning plans using computer-based documents and developer programs, and in-depth industry knowledge.
  • Trains appropriate client personnel on cleaning and clearing strategies, acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Follows-up with clients to ensure that we meet or exceed their expectations; communicates results internally and resolves shortfalls.
  • Conducts business in a safe manner consistent with E3’s Core Values, with an emphasis on a servant's heart and competitive urgency.
  • Builds key relationships with multiple levels of employees at our client companies.
  • Controls costs through daily prudent decisions.
  • Identifies and implements operational efficiencies both internally and externally (client) by taking a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Ensures that effective JSAs are completed and reviewed and adheres to all client site entry and safety requirements.
  • Completes Incident Reports and participates in cause finding and corrective action.
  • Completes all project close out tasks and documentation.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10 years’ industry-related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical certification in related field is a plus
  • Understanding of business principles and practices
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, equipment & tools involved in chemical cleaning services
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and chemicals, with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Highly technical work with the possibility of extremely prolonged periods working in extreme temperatures and high-stress situations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. The employee will be exposed to extreme seasonal temperatures, both very hot and very cold. The employee will be exposed to contaminants, hazardous conditions, and hazardous equipment. The employee will be exposed to whole body vibration and sounds, with noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable at times. The employee will be exposed to cramped workspace, awkward positions, and sometimes very confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position with 24/7 responsibilities. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is expected for this position.
