ECHO Incorporated is hiring a Facility Maintenance Supervisor. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Fleet and Facility Maintenance Manager and requires a 50/50 split between hands-on physical work and supervisory/management related responsibilities. Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and electricians to support ECHO’s entire Lake Zurich campus. Work alongside your direct reports on a daily basis to lead by example and ensure that all work is being completed correctly and safely.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervise direct reports on a daily basis through constant verbal and written communication.
- Direct reports include: (6) Industrial Maintenance Technicians and (2) Industrial Electricians.
- Maintain fluent working relationships with various departments, supervision, and management through professional and accurate verbal and written communication.
- Plan and coordinate all assigned tasks and projects to ensure that your staff is able to complete all assigned work on time.
- Maintain ECHO’s ManagerPlus maintenance software to ensure that all equipment stays up to date with preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs.
- Manage ECHO’s Wattmaster HVAC control system to ensure that the facility is operating at a comfortable/planned temperature at all times.
- Manage inventory levels of maintenance department related consumables and reorder, as necessary.
- Identify and lead cost reduction initiatives within your areas of responsibility.
- Maintain cost tracking spreadsheets as needed to help justify potential and newly insourced work.
- Develop annual performance goals and strategies for your direct reports.
- Constantly focused on the development and advanced training of direct reports.
- Maintain capital assets, expenses, and labor budgets on a monthly/annual basis to ensure that overall spending is being controlled.
- Maintain 5S and overall facility safety practices through constant leadership and guidance. Identify areas of concern and prioritize all safety related work and repairs.
- Work with direct reports to issue and approve purchase orders and invoices.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience working with industrial HVAC, high voltage electrical circuitry, compressed air, hydraulics, fire suppression system management, security system operation, and overall facility maintenance - required.
- Any type of construction related experience, such as office framing, drywall installation, flooring installation, overhead drop ceiling and lighting installations - required.
- 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience - preferred.
- Must be self-motivated and able to constantly show leadership through disciplined work practices.
- Experience communicating with outside vendors and companies to both coordinate scheduled work and order supplies as needed – required.
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects, up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis, and team-lift objects up to 125 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and professionally – required.
- High school diploma or equivalent - required.
- Completion of advanced career development and/or job-related training courses - preferred.
