ECS is seeking a Test Lead to work remotely.
ECS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Test Lead to join our Federal Practice in the DMV area. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for setting the test and evaluation strategy and standards for a federal program and overseeing testers. This position requires advanced quality assurance and software testing experience.
Primary Duties
- Develop test strategy and methodologies for the program (including internal, regression, and User Acceptance Testing), focused on Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Coordinate and enforce implementation of test strategy across teams
- Develop templates for test plans and test results
- Collaborate with project management and developers on timing and content of builds, releases, and patches
- Lead the detailed planning and execution of specific testing activities, as defined within the scope of individual projects
- Oversee the testing activities and resource allocation of testers
- Manage and coordinate cross-team testing activities
- Work closely with developers to groom user stories to ensure testing considerations are included; communicate and discuss test plans, results, data analysis, and unresolved problems
- Work with closely with customers to understand requirements, think through functional test scenarios based on the persona, and advise the team on test cases related to the product
- Collect, analyze, and report test metrics
- Establish best practices in Configuration Management for test-related items
- Identify, analyze, and track risks, communicating statuses, and escalating concerns when needed
- Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, develop and deepen long-lasting client relationships

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
- 7 years' test management experience
- 5 years hands-on testing experience
- Advanced knowledge and experience in formulating test plans and strategies, including documentation of techniques and communication to internal and external senior stakeholders
- Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence, or Azure DevOps Server
- Experience supporting teams with standard testing types:
- Unit tests (white, gray, black)
- Regression testing
- Scripting and automated test suites
- Experience working with a Federal Customer
- Experience managing client requirements and small teams
- Experience supporting multiple software development teams
- Experience working in an Agile project environment
- Strong client interfacing skills: a positive attitude, highly motivated, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills

Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
