Description
HR Onboarding Specialists are the main point of contact for all new hires. It is essential that an HR Onboarding Specialist creates a positive first impression, along with exhibiting the company culture. They are responsible for ensuring all new hires have access to pre-employment paperwork, assist with questions, create deadlines, communicate expectations for completion, and assist with various tasks related to the full orientation process.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with employees at various levels in the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality via the security of the workstation and work area regarding the confidentiality of all data and systems.
- Assist in developing and implementing onboarding strategies.
- Extend employment offers and launch new hire onboarding packets.
- Initiate background checks and drug screenings for every new hire.
- Review background checks and drug screens and follow up as needed.
- Follow up with new hires to ensure deadlines are met and missing items are updated prior to hire date.
- Conduct new employee orientation.
- Ensure all new hire workstations are set up and enlist Tech Support if necessary.
- Create and distribute new hire welcome gifts.
- Process new hire paperwork.
- Distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
- Other duties deemed necessary.
