Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts and calculate daily transactions, using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and check accuracy of deposit slips.
Monitor cash drawers to ensure cash balances are correct.
Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds.
Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using a currency-counting machine, to prepare them for deposit.
Enter customers' transactions into computers to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information, such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments, and the legality of the documents.
Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning members accounts.
Prepare and verify cashier's and travelers’ checks.
Process transactions, such as deposits, automated teller transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits.
Answer telephones and assist customers with their questions.
Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance.
Carry out special services for customers, such as ordering bank cards and checks.
Sort and file deposit slips and checks.
Receive and count daily inventories of cash, drafts, and travelers' checks.
Arrange monies received in cash boxes and coin dispensers according to denomination.
Explain, promote, or sell products or services, money orders, and cashier's checks, using computerized information about customers to tailor recommendations.
Prepare cash for deposit or disbursement.
Verify accuracy of financial or transactional data.
Open share drafts, savings, TEAM and CUB accounts.
Create monthly reports for new accounts opened, accounts closed, and loans originated and paid off.
Generate end of day reports for money orders, closed accounts, travelers’ cheques and debit balance.
Process stop payments for members.
Receives information for wire transfers and then transmits that information to new accounts at main office.
Verify and examine information and accuracy of loan application and closing documents.
Assemble and compile documents for loan closings, such as title abstracts, insurance forms, loan forms, and tax receipts.
Record applications for loan and credit, loan information, and disbursements of funds, using computers.
Submit loan applications with recommendation for underwriting approval.
Contact customers by mail, telephone, or in person concerning acceptance or rejection of applications.
Contact credit bureaus, employers, and other sources to check applicants' credit and personal references.
Communicate with loan applicants to obtain personal and financial data and to assist in completing applications.
Prepare and type loan applications, closing documents, legal documents, letters, forms, government notices, and checks, using computers.
Review member accounts to determine whether payments are made on time and that other loan terms are being followed.
Calculate, review, and correct errors on interest, principal, payment, and closing costs, using computers or calculators.
Review Loan Voucher for completeness: Purpose of loan documented. Insurance disclosure completed. Federal box is completed. Collateral documented completely as per model and I.D. number. Value of collateral documented. Verify shares or C.D.'s pledged properly on system. Note properly signed. Rates, payment amount and due date along with frequency of payment entered on system.
Answer questions and advise members regarding loans and transactions.
Present loan and repayment schedules to members.
