About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Stamping Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining stamping equipment to produce high quality metal components. The technician will work closely with engineers and operators to ensure efficient processes and the highest standards of quality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Setup and calibrate stamping machines for production runs based on specifications
- Monitor machine operations and adjust, as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling and production parameters for enhanced efficiency
- Perform machine setup and changeovers per production requirements.
- Identify and report any machine downtime
- Insert material into/remove them from the systems
- Ensure the use of 5S methodology at the workstation
- Work through cleaning and inspection plans
- Perform the machining steps set out in the work plan
- Complete defined quality checks
- Use individual systems and/or implement multi-system operation
- Start and restart systems, as per the documentation or specifications
- Fix temporary machine interruptions that fall within the defined responsibility
- Escalate technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix
- Carryout set-up processes
- Other duties, as assigned.
About You:
- Previous experience in stamping operations or a similar manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with blueprints, technical drawings, and quality control standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs.
