POSITION TITLE: Womens Program Manager
STATUS: Exempt
DEPARTMENT: EmBe Womens Programming
REPORTS TO: Executive Director for Programs and Operations
PURPOSE: Provide leadership, vision and strategic direction in carrying out the mission of EmBe Womens Programming and Dress for Success Sioux Falls through the development and implementation of sustainable programs, community partnerships and services. This position works closely with the rest of the womens programming team to conceptualize, develop and deliver initiatives that meet the needs of a diverse client base and further EmBes mission.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Vision (Program Development)
- Develop a clear vision for Dress for Success programs and services as well as a clear and effective strategy for program implementation, growth and evaluation.
- Establish data collection goals and oversee information gathering with a variety of diverse community groups, as well as analyze data for program development.
- Ensure that program implementation is responsive to needs and interests of women and partners, can adapt to changing context and aligned with mission of EmBe.
- Cultivate partnerships with local non-profit organizations that align with EmBes mission.
- Identify effective programs/organizations for alignment with strategic priorities.
- Assist in defining and maintaining all program-related grants and program budgets
Program Implementation & Management:
- Manage and oversee program implementation including developing clear program objectives and targets, leading pilots of new programs, collecting and analyzing feedback and leading plans to scale programs for wider audiences.
- Create and maintain processes to effectively evaluate program objectives and targets as well as develop process to report program outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Womens Program Coordinator to design and deliver any necessary trainings.
- Ensure EmBe brand, mission, vision, and values are reflected in all interactions and work with Marketing and Development teams to promote programs and create marketing and funding strategy.

Oversee the development and implementation of relevant, sustainable programs within the Dress for Success Continuum of Services and related work, meeting the needs of the community we serve

Connections to Success Program
- Complete training for Connections to Success Program and conduct pilot program prior to a full launch of the new career development program at EmBe
- Recruit participants to fill future cohorts

Work with referral partners to identify cohort participants
- Making Cents Financial Literacy Program
- Connect with potential presenting sponsors from area financial institutions
- Work with EmBe Development staff on sponsorship needs
- Recruit cohort participants for each Making Cents quarterly cohort

Connections to Success Program
Team Management & Partnership Building:
- Oversee Womens Program Coordinator and provide direction for implementation for programs.
- Communicate clear expectations with program volunteers, partners and participants and provide feedback where applicable.
- Reinforce and lead a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement. Mentor the attitude of honesty and mutual respect. Model professionalism, accountability, and personal responsibility to coworkers, customers, and external contacts.
- Build strong relationship with referral agencies in Sioux Falls and surrounding communities
Ongoing
As a member of the Womens Programming and Dress for Success Team, all team members are responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering a continuum of programmatic services through training and development, coaching, servicing Boutique and Career Development Center guests.
- Ensure EmBe brand, mission, vision, and values are reflected in all interactions.
- Remain current on trends in workforce development, womens economic empowerment and other relevant fields to maintain and enhance and EmBes standing as a leader in these areas.
- Be a positive and enthusiastic representative of and advocate for EmBe and Dress for Success Sioux Falls programs.
- Participate as requested on Special Events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree is preferred
- Workforce development and/or non-profit experience highly desirable.
- Strong initiative; self-starter; Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lead presentations and teach a set curriculum to small cohorts of participants
- Proficient skills using Microsoft Office
- Strong experience using critical thinking, organization, and time-management skills.
- Welcoming personality in-person and on telephone; Professional and polished image.
- Strong written and verbal skills; Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
