Join our team as a Dual Rate Food Server/Banquet Captain in a fun, fast-paced environment with room to grow! FREE Gaming License ($155-$200)! The Dual Rate Food Server/Banquet Captain assists in the coordination and execution of banquet events as needed and provides exceptional guest service as a Food Server when they are not assigned to an event.
Starting pay when working as a Food Server is $16.76 and increases to $20.06 after successful completion of 90-day orientation period. Starting pay when working as a Banquet Captain is $17.31 and increases to $20.66 upon successful completion of 90-day orientation period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Banquet or event coordination experience
• Two years of full service, high volume, restaurant experience
PREFERRED
• Associate’s degree in hospitality or related field
• Gaming experience
• Experience working with tribal entities
Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Food Server
• Attends to guests throughout their dining experience by providing service focused hospitality.
• Resolve any guest issues by utilizing outstanding service recovery.
• Collaborate with Restaurant, Kitchen, and Bar staff in a professional, friendly manner.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable dining experience.
• Provide craveable food and beverage recommendations to guests.
• Maintain a neat and orderly wait station.
Banquet Captain
• Assist in the oversight and coordination of banquet events from setup through breakdown.
• Coordinate with event planners and culinary staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverage services.
• Assist in assigning tasks and roles to banquet team members based on event needs.
• Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure equipment cleanliness and functionality.
• Communicate with assisting departments on event logistics and equipment requirements.
• Monitor banquet inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
The Dual Rate Food Server/Banquet Captain must possess strong communication and customer service skills while demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of casino and department policies, banquet service coordination, and alcohol service compliance is essential. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software, as well as point-of-sale systems, is required. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities are necessary, along with the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. Attention to detail in recordkeeping, planning, and scheduling is critical, as is competency in basic math and cash handling for event coordination.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting/standing for up to 10 hours per day in an Event/Kitchen environment
Walking/climbing, reaching/bending/crouching, pushing/pulling
Hand eye coordination: use of eyesight with finger dexterity
Concentrating in loud/busy situations
Lifting items up to 40 lbs.
Subject to a casino smoke-filled environment

- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIB license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
