Bestronics (an Emerald Technologies company) has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Strategic Accounts to join its San Jose team! The Director, Strategic Accounts is responsible for the Emerald “Customer Experience” for one or more specific customer accounts. This person is responsible for the development and execution of the Account Strategy. 

In this role, you will coordinate with the Program Management & Executive Teams to drive growth and financial performance of the business unit. This includes establishing and managing a long-term strategic partnership between EMERALD and the customer(s) that delivers the growth and profit objectives, defining and expanding Emerald’s value proposition, and understanding the customer’s own strategic objectives.  The leader drives how Emerald contributes to success in those areas, ensuring customer satisfaction, understanding the competitive environment, and mapping all key stakeholders and ensuring relationships are created and maintained with each of them. Requires the use of sales force automation tools such as Insightly (CRM) and sales/account management to plan, track and report status and progress.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Owns the creation of a growth strategy for their account(s) with an overall objective of XX% year-on-year improvement in
  • Value Added Revenue allied to an improving Net Core Operating Income percentage (i.e. NCOI/Revenue expressed as a
  • percentage figure).
  • Owns the creation, review and approval of all contract/commercial documents and agreements governing business between
  • Emerald Technology and their customer(s).
  • Owns the business development aspects of executing the account plan and advancing the relationship with the customer(s).
  • Responsible for developing the funnel to target and executing the sales process and updating the sales funnel.
  • Responsible for opportunity management which includes the development and execution of the ‘Opportunity Strategy” and the
  • development and testing of the “Value Proposition”.
  • Owns responsibility for the pricing, financial approvals, and proposal development to support new opportunities.
  • Responsible for “Setting and Managing Price”. The Account Executive is responsible for meeting the financial /pricing
  • objectives set by the company and achieving the financials approved that support the contracted price model. Responsible for
  • negotiating ongoing cost adjustments.
  • Responsible for handling any escalations elevated to them by the Program Management Team, Operations Leader and/or Site
  • President. If the Account Executive cannot resolve these issues, they must be escalated to the CCO and COO.
  • Responsible for all Customer initiated escalations and owns driving appropriate corrective actions for any matters identified by the customer to them in a timely manner.
  • Owns review and approval of individual Business Unit forecasts and the creation, review and approval of a consolidated
  • account forecast for their customer(s).
  • Owns monthly review of actual financial reports including a detailed variance analysis where there is a difference to a locked
  • forecast or a recent weekly indicator. This includes review and analysis of the P&L statement and the Balance Sheet.
  • Owns the scheduling and completion of Quarterly Business Reviews for all business units.
  • Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university.
  • 10 years related experience in strategic customer management.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of production and inventory control, material and capacity requirements planning and master planning.
  • Experience in managing customer revenue growth and commercial management/execution.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to concentrate in a busy environment and stay on task.
  • Up to 30% domestic travel.
