Job Description

The Industrial Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities within the industrial sector. This role is crucial for expanding our market share, increasing revenue, and building strong relationships with potential and existing clients. The ideal candidate is results-driven, has a deep understanding of industrial markets, and excels in creating strategies to capture new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase revenue in assigned territories.
  • Identify and pursue prospective clients through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and other lead-generation methods.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for all industrial clients to ensure customer satisfaction and managing accounts effectively.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure project requirements align with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, engineering, and product development to develop solutions that meet client demands.
  • Provide market feedback to support continuous product improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline status, and goal achievements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Five years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the industrial sector.
  • Proven experience in developing successful business strategies and sales processes.
  • Ability to manage small to mid-size teams
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitors
  • Previous experience in the diesel or generator industry preferred
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
