Reports To: Project Manager
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Core Responsibilities
- Gather, process, and verify field data, including field notes.
- Prepare topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and boundary surveys and plats.
- Prepare as-builts, plot plans, improvement location certificates, grade certifications, minor subdivision plats, legal descriptions, and exhibits.
- Provide drafting support for miscellaneous survey projects.
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret legal descriptions and plats, survey documents, and title commitments.
- Engage in daily communication with the Project Surveyor, Project Manager, Crew Chiefs, and Engineers.
- Provide input on CAD standards and maintain established standards and templates.
- Responsible for managing time to ensure completion of tasks as prioritized by the Project Manager.
- Review all deliverables and company standards before submitting to Project Surveyor, Project Manager, or Engineer.
- Ability to handle project changes. Ability to manage your own schedule and meet project deadlines.
- Follow specific, outlined, and detailed directions. Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy.
- Resolve problems that are readily identifiable with standard practices, procedures, and processes.
- Perform QA/QC appropriate for this level.
- Responsible for completing timecards accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Achieve an 90-95% Billable Utilization Rate. Non-billable activities include company & team meetings, professional development, community involvement, innovation time, culture & engagement activities, learning, and training.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, MicroStation, and Bluebeam.
- Refer to skill matrix for technical requirements for I-II-III positions.
- Attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The position may require a visit to project sites occasionally.
- The position requires a normal range of hearing.
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires prolonged sitting with 15% of the time spent bending and reaching.
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Noise levels are consistent with a standard office environment when working in an office.
