Warehouse Supervisor

Equity Staffing Group is hiring for a Warehouse Supervisor in Midway, GA. This position leads, manages, and plans the activities of the warehouse team members to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. As a Supervisor on the Warehouse floor, this position is responsible for overall output, condition, quality, and capability of various functions in the warehouse. Plans, organizes, and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received. Ensures a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customers. This position assures that processes, procedures, equipment, documentation, and personnel are in place to meet the business objectives of their area and the company.

This is 2nd shift – Sunday – Thursday (3pm-12a)

Duties:

• Invest in warehouse team members to develop a collaborative leadership style, while utilizing the tools, processes, procedures, equipment, and operations to meet the business objectives.
• Own the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse teams, including identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
• Effectively partner with the Operations Manager, Leads, other Supervisors to ensure daily tasks and quality standards are achieved.
• Empower warehouse team members performance to include coaching, training, and providing clear direction to meet customer requirements, warehouse demands and Company goals.
• Maintain Warehouse team members by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; and evaluating performance.
• Implement and enforce all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
• Arranges maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment.
• Conducts daily meetings to convey daily tasks to employees.
• Responsible for ensuring necessary supplies are on hand to operate the warehouse efficiently.
• Evaluates performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, preferred
• 3-5 years of distribution experience
• 3-5 years of leadership experience
• Continuous improvement experience
• KPI experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal skills needed to align employees to consolidation timeline and requirements.
• Leadership skills
• Focus will be inbound and outbound
