Job Title: Web Applications Developer FLSA Status:Exempt Pay Grade: 103 Work Days: 226 Reports To: Coordinator of Data Services Primary Purpose To support system development and integration between local education agencies (LEAs), Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, and other online organizations. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Education/Certification Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems is desirable or equivalent experience Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of principles and methods of systems procedures and analysis in an interactive database, systems environment Knowledge of SQL, PHP, C# .Net, HTML, JavaScript and web development frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery) Knowledge of API design, development, and integration Knowledge of Learning Management Systems administration and implementation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational, public relations, and interpersonal abilities Experience Two years of WebServes development (SOAP, REST) Two years of SQL development Object Oriented Programming and MVC experience desired Essential Duties and Responsibilities *This job description is not intended, and should not be construed, to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job. Actively participate in and/or provide leadership for inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region, to improve the ESC’s internal operations, and to meet the established goals and objectives of the ESC Responsive as the first point of contact for all stakeholders in the education community. Collaborates effectively with internal and external customers for successful integration of LEAs with online entities Design, develop, and implement computer programs Monitor quality and security performance through testing and maintenance Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and users Plan, organize, and manage assigned projects Modify existing programs to meet user needs Prepare program documentation, operational instructions, and end-user manuals Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Duties None Equipment/Specialized Software Used Computers, projection devices, control panels in meeting rooms, printers, productivity software, software specific to the job assignment, network resources, internet resources, and other hardware and software necessary to perform the functions of the job effectively and efficiently including Window Server, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server, Sybase SQL Server, MS Internet Information Server. Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors) Mental: Public relations and people skills are always required, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure and confidentiality under stress. Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load/unload boxes and materials. Prolonged use of a computer. Environmental: Open cubicles/workstations Evaluation Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11.
