What You Will Do:
• You will perform a wide range of administrative duties in a fast-paced and exciting environment including:
• Assisting multiple project managers in delivery of technical projects and services.
• Perform Labor Compliance verification work on Local, County, and MNDOT projects
• Perform Environmental Compliance Inspections and Reports
• Manage the SharePoint/OneOffice/AASHTOWare/Synchro and other Company supported software for projects as needed.
• Assist with field services responsibilities including field and lab material testing and/or construction inspection and plant inspection services.
• Manage and administer local vibration monitoring projects
• Assist Survey Crew Chiefs for surveying and staking needs on constructions sites
• Developing, composing, formatting, typing and proofreading a variety of documents including technical reports and bidding documents such as project manuals and construction specifications.
• Coordinating and performing document assembly and production.
• Word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation preparation.
• Data entry and data proofing including compiling bid proposals, preparing construction pay vouchers, and working with contract documents for civil engineering construction projects.
• Assisting with technical writing and correspondence.
• Scheduling meetings with internal and external clients.
• Assist w/ preparing items and desks/offices for onboarding of Construction Staff and collecting/sending any items back if/when employees are offboarded.
• Monday – Friday with some paid overtime when needed to complete projects.
What You Will Bring:
• A two-year degree is preferred. MnDOT Technical Certifications are preferred. Previous experience in supporting architects, engineers, environmental scientists, community planners, or landscape architects or other technically minded people are a plus.
• The successful candidate will have superior written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to problem solve and make decisions (such as scheduling and prioritizing work tasks, organizing materials, and keeping project managers informed of potential conflicts) is an important function of the job and will be required daily.
• Strong typing, grammar, spelling and editing capabilities are required.
• Basic math/computation skills, flexibility and ability to work collaboratively with several people at one time on a variety of tasks are also important functions of this job.
• The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to track many projects and deadlines, and bring a desire to provide excellent customer service to the team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word (high level skills) and Excel (intermediate level skills) are a must. Knowledge of Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, BlueBeam Revu, and Access is desired.
