Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Production Supervisor, the responsibility of the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is to transport finished goods and raw materials to and from different locations; both inside and outside of the Pardeeville, WI facility. This position frequently receives raw materials and other goods in the dock area. The job task priorities for this position may vary from day to day between receiving and shipping materials into and out of the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Treat all others in the workplace with respect and dignity.

- Successfully complete on-the-job training and training period.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area that is free of excessive clutter and/or debris.
- Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to another location.
- Compile reports on various changes in production or inventory.
- Assist with the preparation materials for shipping by labeling or checking packages.
- Examine products for damage or defects; notify and report any damage or defects found.
- Review, inspect, and receive raw materials and/or other non-hazardous materials from outside vendors.
- Load and unload cargo; operate a forklift and/or other powered industrial equipment.
- Communicate with management, third party vendors, and/or customers.
- Report accidents and/or incidents immediately to the Department Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Keep the company truck and associated equipment clean and in working order, report malfunctions.
- Handle paperwork related to the job functions, in an accurate and timely manner.
Educational Requirements
- Possess prior knowledge and work experience operating a propane powered forklift.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit consistently while driving.
- Ability to frequently walk and/or stand when receiving items or unloading and/or loading deliveries.
- Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects, including the human body.
- Ability to climb stairs occasionally and ability to climb ladders rarely.
Work Environment
- Indoor manufacturing setting with egresses which are free and clear of debris to allow for both pedestrian walkways and forklift operators.
- Indoor temperatures can vary depending on the area of shipping worked. In the winter, the temperatures range from 40 - 65 degrees and in the summer it ranges from 70-95 degrees. Minor smells may include plastic and/or paint..
