Surgical Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant(At least one year of experience) to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist surgeon during medical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Kind, friendly, and personable addition for a small staff setting.

Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, retracting tissues, and maintaining a sterile field
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with patient assessment before, during, and after surgery
- Handle medical records, including documenting procedures and updating patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize X-Ray technology for imaging purposes as needed
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Knowledge of anatomy to support surgical procedures

- Work in two office locations (Wayne NJ:Tues,Wed, Fri) &( South Orange NJ: Mon,Thurs)

Requirements:
- Proficiency in OMS or similar software for patient records management
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Experience with Intra-oral scanning
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist would be beneficial
