Responsibilities
- Develops, leads, and monitors the Infection Prevention and Control program for all patients, workers, and visitors
- Oversees activities of the Infection Preventionists and functions as a Preventionist (this is a working manager role)
- Facilitates and ensures timely reporting and assessment activities as required by regulatory agencies
- Serves as subject matter expert for policies and procedures in accordance with evidence-based best-practices and regulatory agency requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Respiratory, Medical Lab or other related public health field
- Advanced knowledge of Principles of Epidemiology and infectious disease; Infectious disease laws and regulations; and public health/communicable diseases policy and procedures
- Certification in Infection prevention required. CIC certification preferred.
