What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Liaison position at RIZE Prevention Inc?
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about educating young teens regarding resisting drug use, facilitate positive peer engagement, and mentoring them on character development during the course of the school year, as the navigate the challenges of middle school.
The iRIZE Student Liaison primary responsibilities are to provide core iRIZE program support and act as outreach support to middle school administrators and school counselors, parents, and students. He/she is a public facing professional who will be committed to supporting programs focused on drug prevention and social and emotional health focused intervention support to middle school students. He/she should have strong communication skills, work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude, taking responsibility for projects related to the iRIZE program. He/she is excited to be stretched with new tasks and challenges, while maintaining a philosophy that all tasks are important and should be done well, no matter how small.
The iRIZE Student Liaison is an important role that is critical to the overall success of the iRIZE program. He/she will be a ‘face’ of RIZE Prevention in middle schools receiving the iRIZE program during six months of the school year. His/her responsibilities also include coordinating with the Administrative Manager and lead iRIZE Student Liaison on a calendar of events and activities with students and school staff to ensure that this audience optimally receives the iRIZE program. The iRIZE SL will learn and be able to articulate the program’s evidence-informed methodology and program components and how the Community Connector for Families in Crisis resource guide and financial aid service functions.
The successful candidate will possess an associate or bachelor’s degree with a background in education, social work, ministry, or equivalent relevant experience in community service or outreach, student mentorship and advising, or youth ministry. He/she will possess a positive disposition, an eagerness to learn, a strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to take ownership of projects both big and small. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping teens and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of technology to enhance the organization's day-to-day business, and creativity to help with marketing and communications regarding the iRIZE program.
