Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager for our extended stay hotel to oversee all aspects of our hotel operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maximizing profitability, and maintaining the highest standards of service and quality across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel operations, ensuring smooth 24/7 functionality
- Manage the hotel's profit and loss, developing strategies to increase revenue and control costs
- Drive customer satisfaction through proactive leadership and hands-on problem-solving
- Create and implement staff schedules across all departments to optimize efficiency
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage all hotel personnel
- Conduct performance evaluations and make decisions regarding promotions, transfers, or terminations
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, vendors, and community partners
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and legal regulations
- Develop and Manage budgets
- Develop Metrics and provide periodic Reports & Forecasts
- Implement and oversee marketing strategies to increase occupancy and revenue
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain the physical property to ensure a clean, safe, and appealing environment
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly financial, occupancy, and cost reports
- Implement and oversee Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs
- Develop and conduct ongoing hospitality training programs for all staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field, or equivalent Training in Hospitality and/or Hotel Management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in a similar-sized property
- Proven track record of financial management and improving profitability
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office Suite or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional language skills
- Experience with boutique properties
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
- Visual and auditory ability to observe and respond to emergency situations
