What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Extended Day Teacher position at External Job Board?
Ravenscroft is an independent, coeducational day school in Raleigh, NC, with approximately 1,250 students in grades PreK-12.

Reports to: Extended Day Director
As the 5th Grade Extended Day Teacher at Ravenscroft, here is what you get to do:
- Assist during age-appropriate activities for children within Program structure
- Stay alert to any safety concerns in regards to the children while supervising play, homework, snack, crafts, etc.
- Maintain clean and nurturing environment
- Contribute to general planning for the Program
- Coordinate activities of program with Lead Teacher
We are looking for someone who:
- Has great communication skills: tact in dealing with parents, colleagues and children in school setting
- Has experience working with children and demonstrates a desire to do so
- Flexibility in work schedule to help with Early Release Days and Teacher workdays and other additional hours as required by the School
- Has a background and/or Degree in Education or related fields preferred
- Is dependable, possesses a good work ethic, and is able and willing to work with other staff in a cooperative manner.
