Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Healthcare Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts receivable, payment posting and practice metrics functions.
Responsibilities
· Comprehensive knowledge in analytics.
· Advanced Microsoft excel mastery.
· Expert knowledge of billing protocols and processes.
· Incoming and outgoing patient inquiries and questions.
· Ensure that all accounts are being kept accurately and completely.
· Send bills to patients and insurance companies in a timely and consistent manner.
· Monitor and collect all delinquent accounts through phone calls and letters.
· Turn bad accounts over to a collection agency. Manage arrear accounts.
· Scrub accounts on a regular basis to ensure they are being handled appropriately.
· Be responsible for documenting all collections data and patient accounts.
· Keep the fee schedules updated.
· Review statements as requested by patients and insurance companies.
· Ongoing insurance contract review. CAHQ management.
· Keep an accurate aging record of all accounts (i.e. 30, 60 and 90 day account).
· Record the amount billed every week.
· Record the amount collected every week.
· Keep track of your statistics daily and post your statistics on your graphs weekly and monthly.
· Incoming medical records requests.
· Keep all necessary forms for your area in good supply.
· Appeal insurance claims when necessary.
· Provider enrollment and credentialing to include CAQH, Medicare, Provider Source and other payers as needed.
· Ensure reimbursement received from insurance payers is correct as per the insurance contracts.
· Attention to detail to ensure clients and payers receive correct support.
· Ability to explain benefits clearly and concisely to clinetnst and payers.
· Ability to meet metric and EOM deadlines.
· Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Associates degree or bachelors degree in healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail are essential for managing documentation effectively.
