What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Processor I position at Fairmont Federal Credit Union?
The Loan Processor I is responsible to perform a variety of duties that combine all aspects of the loan process, including consumer, mortgage, and member business loans. Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Uphold and live our Vision, Mission, and Values every day.
- Performs audits to member loan files to ensure each loan contains proper documentation according to established Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Uses designated software to merge member loan files. Loads merged documents to designated storage system. Monitors loan reports daily to ensure each file is received and accurate.
- Processes and maintains tracking of Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) titles. Reviews titles for accuracy to ensure that file and title match. Monitors state DMV forms and fees for changes.
- Books consumer, dealer referral, mortgage, and member business loans on the core system. Assists with ordering reports for real estate secured loan transactions.
- Monitors and assigns to the appropriate parties ReportIt Tickets, web center applications, mortgage voice line calls and committee approved files. Monitors and provides various notifications. Monitors current balloon files for modification or refinance; mails corresponding letters and documents; assigns loan to the lender.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical duties. Prepares and monitors release packets. Processes loan payoffs as received.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have obtained a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be available to work a schedule based on operating hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge of PC, spreadsheet and general office equipment.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Work is typically sedentary but may require walking up to 10 percent of the time, prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Use hand to finger, handle or feel.
- Lifting up to 30 pounds is occasionally required.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour. Compensation commensurate of experience and qualifications.
